The Drug Hunter, also known as The Drug Hunter, tells the story of engineer Le Van Bang who, out of desperation to save his family, infiltrates a major drug trafficking organization in the Golden Triangle. His brother, a police officer who had also gone undercover in the organization, sacrifices himself after his identity is compromised, and his son is killed by the drug trafficking group. Seeking revenge for his brother and nephew, Le Van Bang heads alone to the southwestern border. Police officer Giang A Ky, a colleague and comrade of his brother, advises Le Van Bang not to take such risks, but he remains resolute. Le Van Bang perseveres, befriending a man named An Thap, devising a plan to become the man's savior and eventually crossing the border into the heart of the Golden Triangle with An Thap's help.
