In a dye factory, the workers faced a 20% pay cut imposed by the factory owner who employed Manchu thugs to boost production. Feeling the injustice, the workers devised a plan to hire an actor to pose as a priest and kung-fu master from Shaolin temple in hopes of regaining their lost wages. However, their scheme was quickly discovered by the factory owner who punished everyone involved. The young actor, guilt-ridden for failing the workers, vowed to make amends by seeking redemption at Shaolin temple. With determination, he embarked on a journey to prove himself and become a student at the prestigious kung-fu academy.
