Mark Renton, a heroin addict, navigates through a tumultuous journey of failed attempts at sobriety and ill-advised decisions alongside his unpredictable group of friends - Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, and Tommy. Lurking in the shadows is his underage girlfriend, Diane, adding to the chaotic mix. Despite relocating from Edinburgh to London in a bid to start afresh, Mark quickly realizes that his past is not easily left behind, especially when Begbie unexpectedly resurfaces, seeking refuge at his doorstep, followed closely by the conniving Sick Boy. The tangled web of lies, betrayal, and addiction threatens to unravel Mark's fragile grasp on reality, forcing him to confront the demons he thought he had outrun.
